PM Shehbaz Reaffirms Support for Palestine and Calls for Independent State with Al-Quds as Capital

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has once again made it clear that Pakistan’s support for Palestine is firm, principled, and unwavering. Speaking on the ongoing crisis, he said Pakistan will always stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the people of Palestine in their just struggle for freedom and independence.

He stressed that Pakistan backs the establishment of a fully independent Palestinian state, with Al-Quds (Jerusalem) as its rightful and eternal capital. “The tragedy unfolding in Gaza is not just heartbreaking; it is a stain on humanity itself,” the Prime Minister remarked.

Shehbaz Sharif also criticized the silence of the international community, saying the world’s failure to stop the suffering of innocent Palestinians reflects a collapse of moral responsibility and conscience. “How long will the world keep ignoring the blood of children, women, and innocent civilians?” he asked, adding that Pakistan has always raised its voice for Palestine on every global platform and will continue to do so without fear or compromise.

The Prime Minister made it clear that Pakistan’s stance will never change, regardless of how difficult the circumstances become. He also reminded that Pakistan supports all oppressed people around the world, as justice, freedom, and dignity are rights that must never be denied to any nation.

At the same time, PM Shehbaz drew attention to another pressing challenge facing Pakistan and the world: climate change. He said Pakistan is among the countries most vulnerable to the impacts of global warming, despite contributing the least to the problem. Pointing to recent floods and extreme weather patterns, he warned that climate disasters do not respect borders and require urgent, united action from the global community.

“Protecting future generations demands collective effort. Just like the fight for justice and freedom, the fight against climate change is a moral responsibility for all of humanity,” he said.

By linking the struggles of oppressed nations with the need for global climate action, the Prime Minister highlighted Pakistan’s role as a country that stands for justice, peace, and shared responsibility.
